welcome I want to talk about wild cards 6 Ace in the Hole I just finished reading it and oh my God it blew my mind whenever I read anything I always seem to gravitate towards baddies or the evil characters I just find evil characters far more intriguing and nobody is more intriguing than a senator Greg Hartman or more evil than Puppet Man written by Steven Lee the Greg Hartman flopped managed to shock me something that as an Avid Reader is hard to do you start to be able to see the twists coming the death of Puppet Man and the Gimli Persona and then the realization by Greg that there never was a puppet man Oregon Emily was so shocking to me as a reader . George R. R. Martin – Ace in the Hole Audiobook . I had to take a moment to let it sink in I realized that as a child Greg Hartman created Puppet Man to deal with his Wild Card abilities because he was scared to tell people that he had the wild card because of people like the Reverend Barnett this does not excuse his actions but it does in my opinion put his character a little more in the gray area on the good to evil Spectrum ask for baddies another one I really enjoyed is demise real name James Specter his story was written by Walton Simons in previous books you don’t get to learn very much about demise and this book I feel you got to learn a lot more about his character he tries to be loyal to his childhood friend and when he finds out what Greg Hartman really is he knows he has to kill him not just because he was paid to but because it is the right thing to do I filled my the story was wrapped up very nicely by doctor tachyon . George R. R. Martin – Ace in the Hole Audiobook .  finally defeated the right thing he never should have brought James Factor back to life and created the Mize he played God and that was not right so when he finally did the right thing and destroyed them eyes is body not letting him regenerate it was finally an end to give actors living hell of having to remember his die in agony when he drew the black queen doctor tachyon in this book is also very interesting but I always find Doctor tachyon very interesting although he always seems to miss things are right under his nose tachyons interactions with floor are very interesting but I thought them a little creepy and almost incestuous as he was her stepfather what is it with George RR Martin and incest his inability to distinguish floor from her mother his lost love blithe is a problem that cloud his Judgment of her as a person even after he reads her mind he cannot separate her and her mother fully to himself the loss of doctor tachyons right hand I feel is very symbolic right hands in history symbolize strength growth and Authority in the next few books doctor tachyon might lose his authority not only in the Joker Community which has already begun but also in the wider world people might start to viewing him as a product of a bygone age he may even be served by has a Dr Sun Blaze I really enjoyed Jack Brown AKA Golden Boys storyline written by Walter Jon Williams I always thought Golden Boy the treasury was Judge Too harshly by his critics light khaki on due to his lack of Aging he is finding it hard to come to terms with the changing world around him but unlike tachyon who is happy to stand out in the crowd all Jack Brown wants to do is fit back in I really enjoyed Golden Boys to separate fights the first one with Maki master and the second was demise Mackie Messer AKA Mack the Knife is about as evil as you can get in this book I would even argue he is worse than Senator Greg Hartman because even when separated from Hartman Maki is mine I akkel and evil in his own right he admits to murdering his own mother as a teenager foot Mackie Messer is a hundred
he is completely unhinged and nearly completely black on the good to evil chart the final fight scene between Mackie Messer and demise is gripping to read and tachyons possession of Senator Greg Hartman is nail-biting Lee good but most satisfying part of this book for me was the reunions of the four aces in as much as that is physically possible and yet bronze realization that for all his strength and his in a vulnerability he is a coward or has he likes to put it a weenie this realization helps him forgive himself for his own actions as the treasure Ace in conclusion I thoroughly enjoyed this book but I cannot finish this review without talking about the death of chrysalis it came as such a shock because he has been one of my favorite characters from her introduction I immediately like everyone else assumed it was one of Greg Hartman puppets but to find out that it wasn’t only added to the mystery surrounding her death and who hired demise people say Chrysalis hired them eyes to kill Greg Hartman if he was found dead but he is already dead and when he got his orders but gambling is also dead so this only adds to the confusion is there perhaps a new ace with a new power that we don’t know about that is behind all of this who knows I live in hope the Chrysalis isn’t dead and that somehow she managed to fake her own death but how would you staked her own death she’s very distinctive-looking I really enjoyed chrysalises chapters on this back deck and really hope to see more of her I really hope he isn’t dad I found her funeral was very moving and tachyons eulogy brought me to tears I really hope we haven’t seen the end of Chrysalis and the Crystal Palace I have just started reading wildcard 7 dead man’s hand so once I finish that I will make him up the review
